Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional course that is about constructing, designing, and performing structural work to serve the public like dams, bridges, buildings, roads, canals, highways, sewer systems, power plants, and so on. It is one of the earliest and widest Engineering branches. It involves planning, designing, manufacturing, maintaining and overseas frameworks which include facilities important to today's modern life such as highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals near airports and other buildings save it system and water treatment facilities. Afterward, the course is also helpful in protecting the public's environmental health and as well as improving existing frameworks. According to a new research report, the civil Engineering market size is growing and is expected to grow up to USD 11.7 to 2 trillion by 2025.
Several colleges of India have civil Engineering at the UG and PG level leading to BTech and m.tech degrees.
There is a lot of specializations in civil Engineering which are as follows:
- Geotechnical engineering
- General engineering
- Fire protection engineering
- Bridge engineering
- Coastal and ocean engineering
- Irrigation engineering
- Land development
- Materials engineering
- Transport engineering
- Urban engineering

Civil Engineering Eligibility Criteria
If a candidate wants to take admission in civil engineering then he/she will have to give an exam of AE CET. After qualifying this test, a candidate can take admission in one of the best institutes or colleges of India according to the All India Rank.
The candidate also should pass class 12th with a minimum of 40% marks each in science and mathematics. The candidate must have also English as a compulsory subject.
B .Tech civil Engineering
B tech civil Engineering is a four-year undergraduate program that is divided into eight semesters.
Civil Engineering fee structure
The fees structure of Civil Engineering is different in every college. The fee of civil engineering is INR 3 to 7 lacs in public institutes and 6 to 14 lacs in private institutes. The fees of the student also depend on the college which is chosen by the student in AE CET admission counseling. Students can also get scholarships based on their all-India rank in AE CET.
Hostel fees are not included in the above fees. Student can go to hostel facilities if he wants to. The hostel fees for civil engineering students range from INR 30000 to 35000 per semester. The hostel has very good facilities for the students.
