Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is an undergraduate course. This course has a wide scope. In this course, students will learn how to repair, retain and solve the problems of aircraft. It is AE's responsibility to keep the aircraft in flyable condition. In this course, students will also learn about the safety and security of aircraft and its passenger. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is made up of two parts. one is theoretical and the second is a practical session. Students learn the concept and theories in a good way through practical.

This course is divided into two categories:

Category A

is for those students who desires to get the license of repairing, maintaining and troubleshooting the simple defect of an aircraft.This license holder is called the technician. This category also have few sub categories :

Category A1:

This category for those who solves the simple defects in airplanes and jet engines

Category A2:

This category is for those who repair the simple defect in an airplane with a piston engine.

Category A3:

This category is for those who repairs the simple defect in a helicopter with a jet engine.

Category A4:

This category is for those who prepares the simple defect in a helicopter with a piston engine.

This category is again divided into two subcategories:

Category B1:

The first category is for maintenance certifying mechanical technician.

Category B2:

The second category is for maintenance certifying avionics technician.

Aircraft Maintenance Eligibility Criteria

If a candidate wants to do Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, he/she must follow the following eligibility criteria: For this course, students will have to pass 12th with PCM group or similar AICTE authorized 3 years engineering diploma in a mechanical and electrical stream or any higher education in physics, chemistry, or mathematics. Minimum 45% marks are must in 12th. Candidates with blindness or any physical disability cannot take admission to this course.
